News From The Author

Hello! I haven't added here any new posts for over two years now, but I see you still read my story, and that's absolutely insane! Thank you! I'm writing this post to give you some news that you maybe don't know about. Well, I have published two books since I stopped publishing here - Once Upon a Time There Were Two Poetry Books... & Laura's Diary - My Awesome Life . And I got a new blog now. It's called Get Inspired ,   and it's about my own cultural news. I also have a store with signed copies of my books, and there is a very nice merch that you can buy cheaper thanks to The Christmas Sale now. You can consider buying anything from me until midnight 27th December CET if you wanna save money and maybe buy presents. Oh, and I have a podcast where I talk about poetry and music. I mean it's an audiobook and commentary kind of thing where I talk about the meaning and inspiration that made me write certain works. It's called Romantic Wednesdays With...

Our Elizabeth, in fact Izabela Czartoryska

Izabela is a great inspiration to me

Manor in Janowiec, Poland; it can be the first Elizabeth's home though she was born in London

Manor inside; imagine that it's a mountain manor and William's and Elizabeth's bedrooms

Palace in Puławy, Poland; Izabela's home, so do Elizabeth's

William's parents and their friend?

That's what Elizabeth saw when she went out on the balcony

That's a Gothic House in Puławy; private garden, then museum (1809), a bathhouse in my story

Palace and park in Wilanów, Warsaw, Poland; rose garden; fav Elizabeth's flower

French gardens in Wilanów

Wilanów and two fountains, William's wedding present for Elizabeth

Palm tree - fav Elizabeth's tree

Lake in Wilanów; one of fav pair's places

Palace and park at night

Elizabeth and Mary in mountains; Stanisław Witkiewicz's drawing

Elizabeth's fast drawing; in fact mine

Oliwa, Gdańsk, Poland and fav Elizabeth's sound

Buildings in mountains; Stanisław Witkiewicz's drawings

Bear in mountains; Stanisław Witkiewicz's drawing

Cross stitch 'paintings' made by me; that's what Elizabeth likes to do too

Ojców National Park and ruins of medieval castle

Huge medieval castle in Malbork; Teutonic Knights; very romantic

Palace/bathhouse in Warsaw, Poland

Welcome to the forest; yes these are real stuffed animals; one of buildings in Łazienki, Warsaw

Hunter's wardrobe; also there; fav William's sport

Royal Łazienki in Warsaw, Poland (literally bathrooms); palace on water inside; Elizabeth's brother lives like this

This a reason why this place is called a bathroom - in this room there used to be baths literally in the floor; Elizabeth wants to have something like that in mountains too

Go to the orangery in Royal Łazienki in Warsaw, be amazed by views and replicas of antique sculptures, and then enter that white door on the left and you will find yourself in...

The Royal Theatre where Elizabeth saw one of actresses performing previously

Romantic ruins of the 16th century castle in Janowiec

Fireplace suit described by Elizabeth in 19th note was this kind of stuff; musem in Janowiec, basement of castle

Shakespeare's House

Parts of the book Tour Through England - Izabela Czartoryska's trip journal; English version available, I really recommend buying it! Click here if you're interested.

Furniture which Elizabeth and William are going to buy soon. Mentioned in 53rd note. Museum of literature, exposition about Adam Mickiewicz, Warsaw.

Yes, every photo was taken by the author. ;) You can't find too many names in my story because I want it to be as much universal as possible but these photos may help you imagine described places and objects. :)
