Hello! I haven't added here any new posts for over two years now, but I see you still read my story, and that's absolutely insane! Thank you! I'm writing this post to give you some news that you maybe don't know about. Well, I have published two books since I stopped publishing here - Once Upon a Time There Were Two Poetry Books... & Laura's Diary - My Awesome Life . And I got a new blog now. It's called Get Inspired ,   and it's about my own cultural news. I also have a store with signed copies of my books, and there is a very nice merch that you can buy cheaper thanks to The Christmas Sale now. You can consider buying anything from me until midnight 27th December CET if you wanna save money and maybe buy presents. Oh, and I have a podcast where I talk about poetry and music. Harvest of Maritime Memories

Golden his heads of grain

Delicate sailor’s moustache

Air waves of the feeling –

Breeze of the fan lace

 

Natural zigzag of cheeks

White hat on smooth chest

On the neck valuable necklace –

Amber of rare sensation

 

Salty maritime tears heart rock

People will never understand

How much sunny sugar, flowers

 

Harvest of love, harvest of sadness

He must sail away, there is no help

This kind of romance – his embrace –*


*This poem was originally written in my language; I focused on the meaning instead of rhymes and shape while translating it. Yes, I tried to write a modern sonnet. And last words are added to fill the gap which looked really awfully here...

12 th  September 1820   Dear diary, William is going crazy but you probably know it well. Why was he screaming yesterday? That is a really good question. I honestly did not know... Note No. 54. ROMAntic Day in Italy

10 th September 1820   Oh! I thought I would have written about England and Scotland today or maybe I would have started my new one-act drama, but my husband really like to ruin my plans… Yes! He took me for a romantic dinner instead! Unbelievable, right? What can I say? He just knocked to my chamber this morning, flowers in his hands (he said he picked up those field flowers by himself; I do not know where he found a meadow in Rome but ok) and he did not let me say a word – he just came and kissed me! And then he said, “Do not worry, my dear, I have prepared everything for you, my queen”. Ah, he is such a sweetheart! Then we left our residence (after breakfast and two hours of preparing THIS look; I mean my white-blue English style dress) and he knew exactly where to lead me – a little super cute restaurant.
