Hello! I haven't added here any new posts for over two years now, but I see you still read my story, and that's absolutely insane! Thank you! I'm writing this post to give you some news that you maybe don't know about. Well, I have published two books since I stopped publishing here - Once Upon a Time There Were Two Poetry Books... & Laura's Diary - My Awesome Life . And I got a new blog now. You can consider buying anything from me until midnight 27th December CET if you wanna save money and maybe buy presents. Oh, and I have a podcast where I talk about poetry and music. Note No. 55. Willy is Going Crazy

11th September 1820

Oh, my dear diary! You will not believe what my husband has done this morning! He came into my chamber dressed as a knight! I have no idea where he found that armour, but he looked so cute! Ah! Such a perfect man who always does all he can to impress me! His ideas amaze me every single time!

That is not all! He took me for a dinner dressed like armour-bearer! I do not know where he found those tights but ok! Ha, you are the best in this!

I am also determined to start my Italian lessons. My dear friend Canaletto does not only decide to teach children painting but he also opens a little language private class. I mean he will come to our apartment each Wednesday and Friday. I cannot wait! Knowing languages is always useful in life! That is what my dear husband always tells me…

Did I ever described where me, William and our two children live in Rome? This is such a lovely building with 3 floors. It is ours now so I guess we will come back here one day again. What can I say more? This building is quite new, on the ground floor there is a cantor and beautiful wooden staircase, on the first-floor guestrooms, drawing room; our private chambers on the last floor. Furniture all chosen by me.

Ok… Time to go back to England and Scotland. Palace in Blenheim. A really beautiful place indeed. Looks so rich but it did not belong to kings or clergy. But bad architectural taste of the garden. Also, too big and sad. Too fake. Well... I have also been to Portsmouth, Salisbury, Stourhead… The last one is property that belong to Mr. Hoare. His place is sad but beautiful. Whole house covered in famous paintings. What more did I find in there? Temple, grotto, promenade over rocks. Pretty neighbourhood, ah pretty. Classic mash up of culture and nature.

We live now in the middle of industrial revolution so at every possible mile of my trip I saw signs of it. I have visited manufacture of buttons (owned by Mr. Boulton), manufactures of rings, whips (fascinating machines), fabric of guns. Me and my husband also went to a coal mine (I thought that leaving children with Catherine was a better idea). Coal is pulled out in such iron baskets. Wheel and line. There are also iron roads that help to transport limestone. After that we went to a factory of tar. I say all I remember. Tar is the final product of few operations. Oil which is a side effect is used to a normal paint.

I will continue writing tomorrow… Ahh, Willy! He just ran in screaming! I do not know what happened but I got to find out!

Wait… Where did you get this fancy funny red hat…?
